## How it works

1. Choose what the code is for: a website, Wi-Fi network, contact card, text, email, phone call or SMS.
2. Fill in the details. The preview and the exact content of the code update as you type.
3. Pick colours, error correction and size. Dark on light scans best.
4. Create the PNG and SVG. Where the browser can read QR codes, the PNG is scanned back to check it matches.

## Questions

### Do these QR codes expire?

No. They're static codes: the content is stored in the code itself, not behind a redirect link, so they work forever and nobody can track scans.

### Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?

No. The code is made in your browser. Your network name and password never leave your device.

### How does a Wi-Fi QR code work?

It uses the standard WIFI: format that Android and iPhone cameras recognise. Scanning it offers to join the network without typing the password.

### PNG or SVG?

PNG for screens, documents and messages. SVG for print and design tools, since it stays sharp at any size.

### What is error correction?

Extra data that lets a code scan even if part of it is dirty or covered. Higher levels are more robust but make the code denser.
