## How it works

1. Open a photo or screenshot. It stays in your browser.
2. Drag a box over each face, name, number or address you want hidden.
3. Choose pixelate or a solid black box, and adjust the block size.
4. Save the redacted copy. It's a fresh image with no metadata or location.

## Questions

### Pixelate or black box: which is safer?

A black box. Pixelation hides faces well, but blurred text such as card or ID numbers can sometimes be partly reconstructed. Black boxes remove the information completely.

### Can someone undo the redaction?

No. The saved image is redrawn from scratch with the covered areas replaced; the original pixels aren't kept underneath.

### Does it find faces automatically?

No. You choose exactly what to cover, and nothing is analysed or sent anywhere.

### Does it work on phone screenshots?

Yes. Screenshots are PNG files and keep their sharpness when saved.
