Set the longest edge, an exact width or height, or a percentage.

**Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.** Your files are processed on this device and never leave it. You can even switch off your internet once the page has loaded.

Formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP. This is an interactive tool: open [the page](https://trysecretgrid.com/tools/image-resizer) in a browser to use it.

## How it works

1. Add one or more images. They stay in your browser.
2. Choose how to resize: longest edge, exact width, exact height, or a percentage.
3. Proportions are always kept, and small images aren't enlarged unless you allow it.
4. Download each resized copy in its original format, with metadata removed.

## Questions

### Which option should I use?

Longest edge is the easiest for mixed portrait and landscape photos: 1600 px suits sharing and most websites. Use width or height when a site asks for an exact size.

### Will the image be stretched?

No. The other side is calculated so the proportions stay the same.

### Does resizing keep the format?

Yes. JPEGs stay JPEG, PNGs stay PNG and WebP stays WebP. To change format, use the image converter.
